NEGROES’ DAY CELEBRATED.
Inauguration of Colored President Part of the Ceremony.
Richmond, Va., April 3 — Thousands of Negroes observed Emancipation Day in Virginia to-day. The occasion resulted in an outpouring of the race never before equaled, armed with miniature United States flags and attended by brass bands.
In addition, there was a unique feature to-night, the inauguration of a colored President. At True Reformers’ Hall the interior of the White House was reproduced, and all the ceremonies incident to the induction of a Chief Magistrate into office were gone through with.
To-day was also the fortieth anniversary of the evacuation of Richmond by the Confederate forces and the partial destruction of the city by fire.
No hate crime here, move along: A group of 10-15 blacks in Buffalo, New York, brutally beat up a white boy for dating a black girl. His father wants it treated as a hate crime, but the police, he says, are spending too much time “trying to prove this crime wasn’t a hate crime instead of performing a solid investigation.”
Well, hate crime legislation wasn’t passed to charge blacks who beat up whites.
He said it in December 2, 2005 – sixteen months before a Korean kid at Virginia Tech proved him wrong:
“You’ve never seen a Columbine done by a black child. Never. They always say, ‘We can’t believe it happened here. We can’t believe it’s these suburban white kids.’ It’s only them. Now, a black kid might shoot another black kid. He’s not going to shoot up the whole school.”
Van Jones with his Marxist-Leninist convictions is one of quite a few Obama’s czars whose views on life and politics are quite removed from what most Americans are used to seeing in their government officials. Not all of them, though, have signed a petition claiming George W. Bush’s officials “may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps a pretext for war”.
For some reason, the Obama administration seems to attract this type of people like a magnet attracts iron filings. And then it gives them important jobs running entire industries.
Gang up with five other blacks on a defenceless boy and try to kill him just because he’s white, and a rich man will take you to live with his family in a nice community, give you a good summer job and pay your prep academy tuition. You will be snowboarding in Utah, surfing in Long Island, and have a choice of a career in football, baseball or basketball. You will play lacrosse and tennis, and everything in your life will be free for you. All you need is to find a rich white man who believes that you tried to kill an innocent boy “because the system is stacked against” you.
Eric Holder, Obama’s black Attorney General, called for a dialog on race in his “nation of cowards” speech. He should have been careful what he wished for, because he got it – and it doesn’t sound like something he would have expected to hear.
“We celebrate our heritage, drawing strength from our foremothers all the way from Africa to our modern day sheroes, Oprah to Michelle Obama, we celebrate black women.”
Celebrating whiteness: racism. Celebrating blackness: empowerment, embracing uniqueness, and many other wonderful things.
Oh, they just wanted Americans to vote for a black man? And they don’t have a lot of black elected leaders in their own countries? Could never have guessed it from the media coverage of the election.
Fredric U. Dicker—regarded as the pre-eminent political reporter in New York’s state capital—recently published a column decrying the complete breakdown of the state legislature, which has been unable to conduct business for the past month.
Buried way down in Dicker’s piece, starting at the 19th paragraph, we learn:
During the first five months of this year, with the Senate under the control of its first African-American majority leader, [State Senator Malcolm] Smith, top Democrats bemoaned the lack of minority Senate staffers.
But instead of trying to recruit new hires, they fired nearly 200 almost exclusively white workers and replaced them with a large number of minority employees, many of whom were seen by their fellow workers to be unskilled at their new jobs.
The move produced severe racial tensions, made worse by the fact that, as a high-level Democratic staffer confided, “We’ve been told to only hire minorities.’’
So, nearly 200 people lose their jobs in New York State because of their race? And not at the hands of some evil corporation, but our own elected officials?
It’s quite telling that, in our political age, mass firings can still happen because of one’s race. It’s even more telling that—the only time I’ve seen this story get any coverage at all—it was in the 19th paragraph of an otherwise unrelated column.
Yeah, but it doesn’t matter because everyone knows it’s Republicans who are the party of racism.
“The white guys studied hard and aced the test; the blacks flunked. Hmm, who do we promote? Duh – the blacks, of course, because we’d rather get sued by whites.” This is the situation the current race policies have created.
Not surprisingly, the NAACP - the race industry leader – wants the government to keep discriminating on the basis of race.
Don’t send me any more e-mails complaining that if Phelps were black, he’d be dropped by his sponsors, locked in a cell next to O.J. Simpson and banned from all international competition.
If Phelps had dark skin and answered to “Jerome Washington,” he’d be headed to Disney World, toting the Super Bowl MVP trophy he stole from James Harrison and Big Ben Roethlisberger.
America’s war on drugs is a scam to lock up poor people, a prop to advance political careers and an easy way for corrupt police and politicians to funnel millions of untraceable dollars into their own pockets.
And you really want to play the if-so-and-so-was-black game over a dorky white swimmer pulling on a bong? Are you really that simple-minded?
The black president smoked weed. Rush Limbaugh was a junkie. Brett Favre had a fling with prescriptions. In college, I was Saddam Hussein and Crown and Chronic were my weapons of mass destruction.
If there is any double standard, it’s that white folks are held to a higher standard than blacks. Which is the form racism takes in a post-racial society.
If you were director of an “institute for racial reconciliation” that “helps communities cope with racial issues and promotes research on race”, would you really want race to stop being an issue and put your institute out of business?
Associated Press tells us that there’s a debate – that’s reached a crescendo – “over whether to call this son of a white Kansan and a black Kenyan biracial, African-American, mixed-race, half-and-half, multiracial — or, in Obama’s own words, a ‘mutt’”.
Translation: “There’s this dangerous notion that Obama’s election has ended the issue of race in America, and it must be nipped in the bud. The Left can’t afford losing one of its strongest pillars – a racially divided America.”
A black man from Mississippi has been arrested and accused of sending racist death threats over the Internet to three black students at Louisiana’s Nicholls State University.
The FBI in New Orleans said Dyron Hart, 19, was arrested Wednesday. He is accused of sending the messages by way of the students’ Facebook accounts. The messages contained racial epithets and death threats and were sent to two black women and a black man at Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La.
The author of those messages cast himself as a white man who intended to kill blacks because Barack Obama was elected president.
Don’t let this story become an urban myth about the embers of racial hatred burning afresh in white youth since the election of Obama. Its perpetrator likely knew that myth would be quite easy to create.
He was just using an investigation technique invented by Canadian “human rights” commission investigators, who posted racist messages to “hate sites” so they could accuse site owners of publishing hate speech.
Being the first is great. Now he needs to make sure he is not remembered as the first black president who royally screwed up. That wouldn’t be good for the chances of blacks who will come after him. But I’m sure he understands that.
Wait – Obama has an advisor on race issues? Even several of them, if this one is the top one?
But why would a post-racial candidate need a team of advisors on race issues?
To say things like this:
since Obama is ‘biracial,’ his election won’t prove that racism has receded. White America won’t vote for blacks, Ogletree argues, and Obama’s election is possible only because he’s partly white.
Obama can’t really say that even voting for him won’t absolve you of your racism. Not himself. But he doesn’t have to when he has a team of advisors on race issues who can say it for him.
And this top advisor wants race-based reparations.
Why am I not surprised that this advisor is a Harvard law professor? I won’t even be surprized if he, like Father Pfleger, is white.
