Baltimore Mayor Indicted for Stealing Gift Cards from the Poor and Much More
What is it with the Democratic Party? Spitzer, Kilpatrick, Blagojevich, and now Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon, who was charged with corruption, theft and perjury yesterday. There’s even the extramarital affair that’s beginning to look like a mandatory part of being an elected Democratic officeholder – Blagojevich is the only one of the four to have left that box unchecked.
There is one other thing, besides party affiliation, that all these people have in common: they all represent one-party states and towns. We have seen time and again what happens when one political party becomes so entrenched somewhere that it doesn’t have to care about the consequences of its actions anymore.
