Thanksgiving and Free Enterprise

It is worth reminding ourselves every Thanksgiving how the Pilgrims obtained the bounty for which they gave their thanks to God. And what they had to go through to realise, four centuries ago, that compelling people to work in a collectivist society is possible only, in the words of William Bradford, ”great tyranny and oppression”.
