One would think that when humongous chunks of ice break off the ice shelves in the cold seas, it’s likely part of a climate self-regulation mechanism, as it would eventually lead to a cooling of the oceans and the entire planet as the ice melts in the water. This report, however, says the opposite is the case. I guess Gaia isn’t as smart as it’s cracked up to be.
